     6th February: Telling Tales


 

 Word Spun kicks off a new year of bi-monthly storytelling nights with a night featuring favourite tales to mark National Storytelling Week. We will be celebrating our favourite tales & poetry with an open mic night with 6 × 10min slots up for grabs. We will also be joined by the wonderful shanty group The Silver Darlings whose great harmonies and infectious fun will delight your ears. Drop us a message if you would like a slot. Free entry to performers.


Venue: The Fisherman's Chapel, New Rd, Southend-on-Sea, Leigh-on-Sea SS9 2EA


Time: 7.30pm for an 8pm start.

                     2nd April: Rogues, Cheats & Fools


Word Spun is back with a night of fun tales as we take a story walk with roguish fools and foolish rogues. With special guests The Ondines bringing the musical fun.

        4th June: Shape Shifted

 

 

Word Spun returns this month with a whole host of shapeshifting stories with a special featured set from Hannah Brailsford. Expect tales of skins changed, skins lost and skins found.
